Attakkalari India Biennial 2015

South Asia’s largest and most important festival of contemporary dance. The Biennial will be held in multiple venues across Bangalore which will animate Bangalore’s cultural life in a major way and will make a substantial contribution to the contemporary dance scene in India and South Asia. Attakkalari has been able to put together a wonderful festival and every one at Attakkalari hope that you will be able to attend a few shows.

Attakkalari would be honored if you are able to come for the Opening show at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on 6th February at 7 pm (a Double bill in which Tao Dance Theater from China and Good Company Arts/Daniel Belton from New Zealand will be featured). The Biennial will present leading dance companies from countries right across the globe including China, Germany, France, UK, Korea, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, Sri Lanka and India. Apart from the main stage performances by these acclaimed dance companies there will be works by 17 emerging choreographers as part of “FACETS International Choreography Residency” and “PLATFORM 15: Emerging South Asia”.

The Attakkalari studios in Wilson Garden attakkalari.org You can also get the tickets at Rangashankara, Chowdiah Memorial Hall and Alliance Francaise for the shows taking place there and aton the days of the shows there.
