SNEHA’S first steps into the mesmerizing world of dance were lead by her parents Mr M.S.Bhagwat and Smt.Laksmi Bhagwat, who came to appreciate her flair for dancing at the ripe young age of 7. Having begun formal training in the classical dance form of Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Guru Smt Bhavani Ramnath, she presently learns from Guru Dr Sanjay Shantaram at Shivapriya School of Dance. On the career front, Sneha chose to follow the path laid by her father, who is an advocate in the High Court of Karnataka, and is practicing as an advocate under his guidance. A challenging career as this however, has never hindered her passion for dance, as Sneha continues to explore the boundaries of dance and beyond.
Sneha has successfully completed her junior, senior and Vidwath poorva dance exams conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board. She has played the lead in many productions of her institution such as Alladin, Roopa Virupa, Navarasa Krishna, Thandava to name a few. She has been a part of several prestigious dance festivals such as Natarajotsava-Mysore, Hampi Utsava, Mysore Dussera, Tunga Mahotsava-Shimoga, Natyanjali festival- Chidambaram, Bangalore International Arts Festival (BIAF), National Music and dance festival, Samanvay dance festival, Isckon Brahmotsavam, Aryabhata Dance festival and many more. She has had the opportunity of being the lead dancer for the title track of the tele-serial Shivacharitamruta. As a core member of the Shivapriya team, she has also toured all over south India and also Singapore, Colombo, Malaysia and Bahrain for performances. Besides this Sneha has toured the United States of America along with her guru in the year 2014 and 2015 successfully conducting a number workshops and performances. Recognizing her talent, the Arathi School of Dance, Phoenix, Arizona has conferred on her the title “Kala Arathi Rathna”. She has also been honored as a women achiever by the Karnataka Women’s Advocate Federation. She is a founder member of the Maya Ensemble, a group of upcoming dancers creating a niche for themselves in the field of Bharatanatyam.

Apart from performing, Sneha has a keen inclination for choreography. She has choreographed for several schools and colleges. To hone her skills in choreography, apart from the teachings of her guru who specializes in thematic choreographies and dance drama, she has attended workshops of Guru Kiran Subramanyam, Guru Padma Subramanyam (chaaris and karanas), Guru Shankar Kandaswamy (Malaysia), Guru Smt.Rama Vaidyanathan and Sri.Prasanna Kumar(Tala analytics). She has pursued a detailed course on chaaris and Karanas(part-1) under the tutelage of the renowned Guru.Smt Nirupama Rajendra. She is also trained in the basics of other dance forms Kuchipudi, Kathak and Kalaripayattu which, in her opinion, has helped her to become a wholesome artist. She hopes to continue dancing and spreading its joy among the many art lovers for years to come.

Dance to her….
Is a way of life, breathing life to the famous quote “Do not be so busy making a living that you forget to make a life” that she strongly believes in. Dance to her is indeed an inspiring journey to happiness and joy. The art form symbolizes incredible energy and zeal to her, turning even her most tiring of days into fulfilling ones. It is her strong opinion that the wonders and miracles contained in the word “dance” are best experienced than spoken about. She confesses that dance is a feeling that can charm one’s mind and makes it impossible for anyone to resist falling in love with life, once tried!
