Special attractions of the show

Gol Gumbaz in Bengaluru!
A floral replica of Gol Gumbaz a special attraction of the Republic Day Flower Show this year. The replica is created with 4 walls of 35 feet width on all 4 sides with a height of 30 feet, along with a beautiful park in the front. Bedecked with an approximate no. of 4 lakh Red, White, Pink and Yellow roses this floral replica of the Gol Gumbaz will surely be loved by all connoisseurs of floral art.

Cymbidium Orchids from Sikkim Cymbidium or boat Orchid is a genus of 52 ever green species in the Orchid family and distributed in tropical and sub-tropical Asia. Cymbidium plants are sympodial and grow to a height of 60 cm and the racemes as high as 90 cm.

Vertical Garden House
In recent times, vertical gardens are gaining popularity in Bengaluru and other towns. Bhagylakshmi Farm and Nursery, a reputed floral company in Bengaluru, will be displaying a mammoth vertical garden created at a cost of Rs. 45 lakh during the show. The garden will be built over an area of 1,750 sq ft using 35,000 flowers of different colours and leaf variety plants. It will come up on the left side of the Glasshouse premises and will be in the size of 37 ft length, 15 ft width and 12 ft height. This vertical garden, a maiden effort and a first-of-its kind venture in South India will surely attract the visitors.

Butterflies Bay to fly in Flowers
The Republic Day Flower Show 2017 will also feature replicas of colourful butterflies created using rose, chrysanthemum, orchids, carnation, etc. These will be displayed on the right side of the Glasshouse and are sponsored by Silk Mark, an initiative of Central Silk Board.

American Hybrid Company’s special floral arrangement
Like every year, this year too American Hybrid Company will enthral the visitors with their spectacular flora arrangement.

Colourful Chrysanthemum flowers to hog limelight
Arrangement of attractive chrysanthemum flowers from various parts of the country and abroad by Sri Bhaskar Reddy, florist and Chrysanthemum expert, is expected to lend an extra charm to the Glasshouse.

Special floral arrangement by Indo-American Hybrid Seeds
An arrangement of Orchid flowers involving several novel flora models, Anthrurium, Impatiens, arrangement of rare species of plants, etc. is arranged

Diverse Floral Pots Display
In addition to attractive and huge floral themes, a wide range of pots with flowers grown in tropical, subtropical and temperate climate will be displayed. Important flowers among these include Orchids, Anthurium, Rose, Poinsettias, Pentas carnea, Gerbera, Carnations, Helichrysum, Fussia, Tuberous rooted begonia, Begonia, Impatiens, Geraniums, Hydrangeas and other rare varieties.

Band music for flag off Event
The flagging off of the main event will be accompanied by background music performed by renowned bands, i.e., bands from Border Security Music and Madras Engineering Group. These bands, along with KSRP band will enthrall the visitors on the other days of the show as well.

Flower Pyramids
Out of the four corners inside the Glasshouse, flower arrangements will be made in three corners, by Lalbagh Botanical Garden, BNCS, Ooty Fernhill Gardens & Cymbidium orchids.
