all-women-world-arts-festival-2017With an aim to empower women, especially those striving to develop and propagate Indian arts and culture, the festival is being supported by Ministry of Culture government of India, Department of Kannada & Culture Government of Karnataka, South Zone Cultural Centre – Thanjavur, South Central Zone Cultural Centre – Nagpur and ISKON Temple Bangalore.

The women’s festival shall feature professional women artists in the field of Yakshagana, Puppetry,Manipuri, Bharatanatyam,Mohinittam Mask dances and Kathakali from across India. Presentation of the groups include thematics on mythological characters like Maharshi Gargi and Anasuya Devi and inspiring leaders like Jhansi Rani Lakshmibai and Sharda Devi.

International Arts and Culture Foundation of Bengaluru, headed by Srivatsa Shandilya a photojournalist by profession, has been a pioneering organisation promoting Indian art and culture across India. It has achieved benchmark events like Transgender Festival held recently in Bangalore. Initiating actively the performing arts calendar of Bangalore, it has organised Festivals of Classical and Indian Arts for the Non Resident Indian along with many other a like events
