#SocialCurates: Mandala Dot Art Jam
by Bangalore Drawing Room

Painting and Fine Art workshops during the weekends have been a trend in the Bars of Bangalore and Social brings an edge by adding a twist — A Mandala Dot Art Workshop, for the first time!

A calming and relaxing exercise to paint mandalas using the dot art technique — this evening is all about colours, a blank canvas, food, friends & music!

The workshop is open for audience of all ages. No previous experience needed so beginners and amateurs in painting are most welcome! The organisers give you a glass to sip, a brush to dip & all the guidance to paint your mandalas on canvas with acrylic paints. The evening would involve painting numerous small canvases with detailed dotted Mandalas, a spiritual & ritual symbol representing universe. Many people and cultures have vouched for the mandala’s intrinsic meaning — Buddhists, Tibetans, and Hindus have all derived meaning from the mandala and its captivating beauty.

Artist Snehal Patil, founder of Bangalore Drawing room, says “Art is a spontaneous expression that resides in all of us & must be provided with a creative outlet. Many of us have not explored our creative side and that’s simply because we never had a chance to. With these workshop series, we aim to help this situation”
