The pristine art of Bharatanatyam fascinated Archana MC at a tender age. Encouraged by her parents,Sri Chandrashekhara and Smt. Lakshmi C, she began her initial training under the renowned Guru Smt.Padmini Ravi. In 2006, she continued to train under the able guidance of Gurus’ Karnataka Kalashree Sri. Kiran Subrahmanyam and Smt. Sandhya Kiran at their institute for dance, RASIKA. Since then, she has got the opportunity to learn and perform at various platforms.
Passion, perseverance along with impeccable training and mentor-ship from her Gurus’, has helped Archana in her journey. She did her Rangapravesha in 2012. She has completed both Karnataka Junior and Senior Grade exams with flying colors. She has also been recognized as a “B” graded artist of the Doordarshan.
Archana has had the opportunity to perform at various prestigious platforms as part of RASIKA. She has been part of programs such as Rasikarpana and Prathibha. Paryayotsava 2016 – Udupi, Ugadi Utsava 2015 – Mangaluru are few of her memorable programs. Archana has taken part in numerous corporate shows and has also performed folk dance forms.
Archana is academically accomplished. She holds a degree in engineering where she secured the university rank. She also holds a post graduate diploma in management from IIM Bangalore. Archana served as a senior coordinator of SPICMACAY, IIM Bangalore Chapter, where she contributed to the cultural ecosystem at the institute.
Despite the demands of a corporate career, Archana is a devoted student of Bharatanatyam and it is her sincere effort to learn and grow to become a mature Bharatanatyam dancer.
