Mr.C.J.Yesudasan is considered as one of the legendary cartoonist of India. Born on 12-03-1938 in Kerala, he started his career in political cartooning with `Janayugam’ in 1960. He jumped to New Delhi to join `Shankar’s Weekly’ in 1963 and worked with Mr.Shankar Pillai, pioneer of Indian cartooning, till 1969. Before joining ‘Malayala Manorama’ as staff cartoonist in 1985, Mr.Yesudasan has edited 4 cartoon magazines in Malayalam, on the line of Punch: Asadhu, Cut-Cut, Tuk-Tuk and Sadhu. He has bagged numourous Awards in his career in India and abroad, including ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from IIC in 2001. He has 3 books in Malayalam and a collection of cartoons to his credit.
