British Council organises Pre-Departure briefing in Bengaluru

Session to provide critical information to students around visa, travel and accommodation

Bengaluru Students going to the UK for further studies this year are invited to attend the British Council’s annual Pre-Departure Orientation. These sessions will provide guidance and advice about important dos and don’ts while they prepare for student life in the UK. The briefing will also give students an opportunity to meet and network with fellow students who have enrolled to study at a UK institution.

The briefing is being held for all students, who have received an offer of admission (also known as the offer letter from the University) from an institution in the UK to begin their course in September 2017.

It will include an interactive session with recently returned UK alumni who will share their exciting experiences in the UK followed by a session on ‘Tier 4 student visa applications and related procedures’ which will be delivered by officers from UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI), that the students will need to address immediately after receiving the offer of admission. The briefing will also include a session to impart information about the culture, food, transportation, accommodation and life in the UK.

Students and parents of students are required to pre-register for the event at our British Council office in Bangalore. A registration fee of INR 300/ – will be charged per person per ticket.
