About Prof. Ashutosh Varshney
Born in India. Ashutosh Varshney is Sol Goldman Professor of International Studies and the Social Sciences, Brown University, where he also directs the India Initiative. Previously, he taught at Harvard and the University of Michigan. Ann Arbor. His books include Ethnic Conflict and Civic Life: Hindus and Muslims in India, Democracy, Development, and the Countryside: Urban—Rural Struggles in India and India in the Era of Economic Reforms. His honours include the Guggenheim and Carnegie awards and the Gregory Luebbert Prize. He is a contributing editor for the Indian Express, and his guest columns have appeared in many newspapers, including the Financial Times

About Prof. Sandeep Shastri
Dr Shastri is the Pro Vice Chancellor, Jain University and Director, Centre for Research in Social Science and Education. He has been a visiting Adjunct Professor at the University of California and at the University of Central Oklahoma. He has to his credit several books and articles, besides popular writings in newspapers and magazines.

He has participated in several international and national conferences and seminars in several countries and has presented papers at Conferences in prestigious Universities both in India and abroad.

About Prof. Sudhir Krishnaswamy
Dr Sudhir Krishnaswamy is a Professor and Director of the School of Policy and Governance at the Azim Premji University, Bangalore. He graduated with a BA LLB (Hons) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and a Doctor of Philosophy (Law) and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from the University of Oxford. His book titled Democracy and Constitutionalism in India develops a new theoretical and doctrinal understanding of the place of the basic structure doctrine in Indian constitutional law. His academic research and writing focuses on areas of constitutional and adminishative law, property law and law and development with a special focus on Indian legal system reform. He is a Founder of the Centre for Law and Policy Research, which works to redefine the concept and practice of public interest lawyering in India.
