Partial Lunar Eclipse

A Partial Lunar Eclipse is occurring on the night of August 7, 2017.

The eclipse begins at 22:52 pm reaches maximum at 23:50 and starts receding. The eclipse will be over at 00:48.

This eclipse can be seen with naked eye. However, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium (JNP) is making arrangements to view the eclipse through telescopes. Viewing of eclipse will be possible, only if the sky is clear. Interested public are requested to check sky conditions and then visit JNP for viewing through the telescopes.
