Dastkar returns with what has become the handcrafted lifestyle event of Bengaluru city. “Dastkar Bengaluru Nature Bazaar 2017”

The exhibition brings together more than 100 craft groups, small producer groups from 20 states across India. Dastkar always give space to new craft groups in the bazaars therefore this time there will be 19 new craft groups and 8 designers who will be exhibiting their unique products for the first time at Bengaluru Nature Bazaar.

The Bengaluru Nature Bazaar will offer a wide range of lifestyle accessories, striking jewellery and adornments, metal crafts, carved furniture & decorative products, pottery & ceramics, basketry & fiber crafts, leather products, traditional paintings, a variety of hand-woven, embroidered, block printed textiles, and much more from every corner of the country:

East India: Teracotta Jewellery, Mat Weaving, Sea Shell Articles, Dhokra Jewellery, Bengal Handloom Sarees, Kantha Work, Tussar & Cotton Weaving, Wood & Fibre Crafts from West Bengal. Madhubani Paintings & Sujani Embroidery & Tussar Handloom Textiles & Yardages from Bihar. Dhokra, Kotpad Woven Sarees, Terracotta, Sabai Grass Mats & Accessories from Odhisha. Tribal Weaves, Reed Fibre Products, Black Stone Pottery from Manipur.

West India: Recycled Bags from Maharashtra. Terracotta Pottery, Bandhani, Men’s Garments, Dabu & Bagru Block Prints, Metal Decoratives, Leather Bags, Footwear & Accessories, Recycled Fabric Products, Appliqué & Patch Work, Stone Jewellery from Rajasthan. Visitors at the BANGALORE NATURE BAZAAR can relish a delicious variety of food and beverages from our Traditional Multi-Cuisine Food Court.

Enthralling cultural performances by the ‘Manganiyar Kids’ and ‘Terahtali Dance Performance’ from Rajasthan (13th, 14th and 15th August 2017)

Dastkar will also organise Craft Workshops that will make the bazaar a fun-filled and educational experience for the visitors!

Started in 1981, Dastkar affects the lives of more than 1 lakh artisans every year working with over 600 crafts groups across 29 India States. We strongly believe in crafts as catalytic tool for social and economic empowerment and earning. Dastkar’s role is to help craftspeople find the opportunity, confidence & resources to become self-sufficient. Our Bazaars and Exhibitions provide craftspeople with exposure and direct interaction with the urban customers, enabling them to gauge market trends and customer demands for themselves.
