“Will GST Kill the Golden Future of Handlooms”? – A Talk at Ragi Kana Santhe

Uzramma whose trailblazing work of decades in the handloom industry with Dastkar Andhra and Malkha , will talk on In her inimitable and articulate style, Uzramma will explain exactly how GST will impact handlooms at 12:00 PM.

There will also be a sale of the exquisite Malkha saris, yardage and duppattas. Malkha products are well-known for their superior handspun and woven fabrics that are delivered in exquisite design.

In addition,
Between 11:00 AM – 06:00 PM, the Sunday Santhe will feature authentic khadi and handlooms, agri products sourced from farmer co-operatives, freshly harvested organic vegetables, dates, home accessories, traditional games and more. This week MITAN handicrafts from Belgaum and Ziveli India Handicrafts from Manipur are available for Sales and Exhibition.

Farm Tours culminating in seed ball making will be conducted at 11:30 AM, 02:00 PM and 03:00 PM.
A Theatre workshop for children above 8 yrs will be conducted between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
