About the Play:
“Sanje Haadu” is a social play written in the year 1989 by Mr. Rajendra Karanth. It revolves around 3 characters. Sadashivrao who is lonely after the demise of his wife as his only son, Chandrashekar, is busy making a career for himself in Bangalore. Sujayeendra Theertha, comes to Sadashivrao’s house as a paying guest since he gets an appointment in the local bank. The story begins to unfold as Sadashivrao starts feeling Sujayeendra as his son. Although the play was written in 1989, it is still very much relevant in today’s societal scenario.

About the Director
Rajendra Karanth is a well known writer and director in the theatre fraternity. He has penned around 40 plays out of which 35 plays have been staged with few of them crossing 100 shows as well. His works such as “Muddanana Promotion Prasanga “, ” Mysooru Mallige ” and ” Gangavatharana ” speak volumes about the works of him.

He has been recipient of various prestigious awards for his Direction and Acting as well. His association with us through “Mariamla Moorane Maduve ” has provided our team a much required launch pad into theatre fraternity.” Sanje Haadu “is the first play written by Rajendra Karanth and won various awards during its first staging in the year 1989.
